About the project

What the build set out to do.

Client location — Indianapolis, USA

Homeward Bound Pet Memorial Care is locally owned and operated by Bob and Wanda Lamon, created out of their desire to memorialise and honour the lives of pets belonging to friends and family.

This project involved migrating the entire Homeward Bound website from Joomla to WordPress for a non-profit client in Indianapolis. The goal was complete data integrity during the transfer — posts, pages, users and custom fields all accurately mapped and preserved.

Once the site was on WordPress, the focus moved to refreshing the design with a modern, user-friendly layout. The redesign improved navigation, lifted the visual appeal, and made the site responsive across devices — easier for visitors to browse and for the client to manage.
